Infranet: Internet To The Next Level
Makati City, 13 May 2005 – Juniper Networks, Inc. has launched new products, such as the two firewall/VPN (Virtual Private Network) systems - ISG 2000 with integrated IDP (Intrusion Detection and Prevention) capabilities and the ISG 1000 which integrates better security for the enterprise’s system. They also introduced six new IDP platforms such as the IDP 50, 200, 600C, 600F, 1100C and 1100F that delivers protection against trojans, worms, spywares, and malwares at performance levels ranging from 50Mbps to 1Gbps.
"77% of the Asian enterprises worries about security attacks over the internet, and 63% worries about regulatory and compliance change, which changes relatively fast, that some companies can't oblige easily with the new rules. " Enterprise Solution Marketing Manager, Abby Tang. With these new IDP platforms, their system is protected by a secured IP infrastructure that coordinates network application and endpoint intelligence to control network traffic, and to do all of these cost-effectively, Juniper Networks has integrated the following: Delivery Control, Use Control and Threat Control, which comprises the Enterprise Infranet: An IP infrastructure that coordinates network application and endpoint intelligence to control network traffic - providing secure and assured delivery of applications. A comprehensive, pragmatic and cost-effective approach for solving enterprise customers network and security challenges.
Juniper Networks is also announcing new threat mitigation capabilities to secure voice traffic and increase attack detection accuracy. New SIP protocol anomaly detection delivers VoIP application level protection to complement existing network level VoIP protection. New multilevel attack scanning allows for the IDP platform to help minimize false positives by performing second-level investigation based on certain triggers, such as suspiciously large protocol elements or secondary pattern matches.
For IDP customers, Juniper Networks’ dedicated Security Team also began delivering new spyware protection signatures. The new spyware delivered to IDP customers will stop spyware from “phoning home” and sending confidential company and personal information to third-parties. These updates are provided daily during the business week and as needed on non-business days. The Juniper Networks IDP product line is the first Intrusion and Prevention Systems (IPS) in the market to receive daily signature updates.
