Infranet: Internet To The Next Level

             Makati City, 13 May 2005 – Juniper Networks, Inc. has launched new products, such as the two firewall/VPN (Virtual Private Network) systems - ISG 2000 with integrated IDP (Intrusion Detection and Prevention) capabilities and the ISG 1000 which integrates better security for the enterprise’s system. They also introduced six new IDP platforms such as the IDP 50, 200, 600C, 600F, 1100C and 1100F that delivers protection against trojans, worms, spywares, and malwares at performance levels ranging from 50Mbps to 1Gbps.

A comprehensive, pragmatic and cost-effective approach for solving enterprise customers network and security challenges.
 
           Juniper Networks is also announcing new threat mitigation capabilities to secure voice traffic and increase attack detection accuracy. New SIP protocol anomaly detection delivers VoIP application level protection to complement existing network level VoIP protection. New multilevel attack scanning allows for the IDP platform to help minimize false positives by performing second-level investigation based on certain triggers, such as suspiciously large protocol elements or secondary pattern matches.
 
          For IDP customers, Juniper Networks’ dedicated Security Team also began delivering new spyware protection signatures. The new spyware delivered to IDP customers will stop spyware from “phoning home” and sending confidential company and personal information to third-parties. These updates are provided daily during the business week and as needed on non-business days. The Juniper Networks IDP product line is the first Intrusion and Prevention Systems (IPS) in the market to receive daily signature updates.

New Integrated Networking Products For SMEs

Manila, Philippines May 20, 2005 - Cisco Systems inc. had launched two families of networking products in the Philippines - the Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance 5500 (ASA 5500), and Cisco 1800 and 800 series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 1800 & 800).
 
Regional Product Marketing Manager, Mr. Ken Low explained the Overview, Trends and Surveys about the ISR 1800 & 800 series. "How can Cisco ISR series be built also for the SMEs? It's because the quality of performance of the ISR series are robust for its integrated security systems, and is very cost-effective because it's already a great package deal for the SMEs: A wireless ISR, network security, managed LAN, routing and integrated WAN access all in one device to lower operational costs." He expounded. Cisco's technology advancements center are enhancing the ability of the network to deliver greater productivity benefits. "SMEs, for example: Computer shops here in the Philippines, they can use the ISR 800 series, which would only cost 300$, providing WAN connectivity for all the computers in the shop, and providing them also great security technology." Ken added.
 
On the other hand, since rapidly changing threats can overwhelm traditional security perimeters, broadness of services and management solutions increase operational costs, and security services can disrupt network functions, Cisco also launched ASA 5500 series, a unified threat mitigation and threat-protected VPN solution for more effective and efficient network protection. Product Manager for security solutions, Mr. Leo Chan introduced this product, explained why business disruptions continues and how can this product be a solution to those problems. "This Self-Defending Virtual Private Network's Security is integrated, collaborative, and adaptive. Market-Proven Cisco Technologies such as the Firewall Technology Cisco IPX, Cisco IPS Technology, Cisco NW-AV Technology, Cisco VPN 3000 Technology and Network Intelligence, Cisco Network Services are all integrated within the ASA 5500, providing all the security solutions for the company, even for the SMEs." Leo explained.
